Mumbai: For Shehnaaz Gill, some roles come with a story of their own - and her latest one, in Singh vs Kaur 2, is exactly that. Thirteen years ago, she watched the original Singh vs Kaur as an audience member, quietly hoping she'd one day be part of a film like it. That wish has now come full circle.

In the sequel, Shehnaaz steps into the shoes of Jasneet Kaur, a character that lets her flex range she hasn't shown before. The newly dropped trailer offers a glimpse of her spirited, mischievous energy, wrapped in a story that moves fluidly between comedy, romance and action. The narrative itself spans continents - starting in Punjab, moving through Kolkata, and finally landing in Canada - giving the film an ambitious, sprawling backdrop.

Reflecting on landing the part, Shehnaaz shared, "I used to wish that someday I could be a part of a film like this. And now, I am actually here, playing the character of Jasneet." She added that essaying Jasneet gave her the chance to dip into multiple genres within a single role - romance, comedy and action all rolled into one. For her, this isn't just another project ticked off the list; it's a personal dream, nurtured for over a decade, finally realized on screen.
