Correction Policy

Our Commitment to Accuracy

The Cine Buzz is committed to delivering accurate and reliable entertainment news. Despite our best efforts at fact-checking and verification, errors can occasionally occur. This Correction Policy explains how we identify, evaluate, and correct mistakes in our published content, and how readers can report errors to us.

1. Types of Errors We Correct

We distinguish between different types of errors and handle them accordingly:

Factual Errors Incorrect names, dates, titles, figures, quotes, box office numbers, casting details, or other verifiable facts. These are corrected as soon as they are identified and verified.

Typographical and Grammatical Errors Minor spelling, grammar, punctuation, or formatting mistakes that do not affect the meaning of the article. These are fixed without a formal correction note, as they do not change the substance of the reporting.

Outdated Information Information that was accurate at the time of publication but has since changed (e.g., a film's release date being postponed, a casting change). These are updated with a note indicating the article has been revised, along with the date.

Misleading Headlines or Framing If a headline or framing is found to misrepresent the article's content, it is revised, and where the change is significant, a note is added.

2. How We Correct Errors

  • Minor corrections (typos, formatting, small grammatical fixes) are made directly without a visible notation, as they do not alter the meaning or substance of the article.
  • Substantive corrections (factual inaccuracies, incorrect attributions, wrong figures, misquotes) are corrected in the body of the article, and a correction note is added at the bottom of the piece, specifying what was changed and the date of correction.
  • Major corrections (errors that significantly change the meaning of a story, or could harm an individual's or organization's reputation) are addressed with a clear, dated correction note, and in serious cases, the article's headline or summary may also be updated to reflect the correction.

3. Removal and Unpublishing of Content

  • We generally do not remove published articles entirely, as this can create confusion and undermine the historical record of our reporting.
  • In rare cases - such as legal requirements, serious defamation concerns, safety issues, or content published in clear error (e.g., duplicate posts, posted prematurely) - an article may be unpublished or retracted.
  • If an article is retracted, we aim to note this transparently rather than silently deleting it, wherever feasible.

4. How to Report an Error

If you notice an inaccuracy in any of our articles, we encourage you to let us know. Please include:

  • The URL of the article in question
  • A description of the error
  • Supporting evidence or source for the correct information, where available

You can report errors to us via our Contact Us page or by emailing our editorial team directly.

5. Our Review Process

  • All correction requests are reviewed by our editorial team.
  • We verify the claimed error against original sources, official statements, or other credible references before making any change.
  • Corrections are typically made promptly once verified, generally within 24–48 hours of confirmation.
  • If a correction request is found to be inaccurate or unsubstantiated, we will not alter the article, and we may communicate the reason to the person who raised the concern.

6. Updates and Editorial Revisions

Separate from error corrections, we may periodically update articles to add new information as a story develops (e.g., a breaking news story that is updated as more details emerge). Where relevant, such updates are timestamped to reflect when new information was added.

7. Accountability

We take corrections seriously as part of maintaining reader trust. Repeated or significant errors are reviewed internally to identify and address any gaps in our editorial or fact-checking process.

8. Changes to This Policy

This Correction Policy may be updated from time to time to reflect changes in our editorial practices. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.
