He completed his schooling in Haryana before moving to Germany at 17 to pursue higher education, a transition he has described as challenging but formative.

Career Journey:- Dhruv Rathee earned a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering and a master's in renewable energy engineering from the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology. He began uploading YouTube videos in 2013 as a hobby centered on travel and technology, pivoting to political commentary in 2014 with a video analyzing the BJP government that went viral. He became known for combining fact-checking with explanatory, data-driven videos, and from 2017 to 2020 also wrote opinion columns for ThePrint. Personal Life:- Rathee met his wife, Juli, in 2014 on a tram in Germany, where both were commuting daily. They married in November 2021 at Belvedere Palace in Vienna, Austria, followed by a traditional Hindu ceremony in 2022, and welcomed a son in September 2024. Juli, a German citizen and medical student, occasionally appears in his vlogs.
