"Yoga Is Nourishment for the Soul": Amal Sehrawat on Finding Balance Amid a Busy Life
Actor Amal Sehrawat opens up about how yoga shapes his daily life, acting career, and mental well-being - from handling intense scenes with breath control to staying grounded amid industry pressures.
Known for his work in projects such as Sarkar 3, Satya 2, Choti Sarrdaarni, and Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai, Amal Sehrawat believes that true wellness goes beyond physical fitness. For the actor, yoga is a daily reminder to slow down, reconnect with himself, and find calm amidst the chaos of life. As the world celebrates International Yoga Day, Amal shares how this ancient practice has shaped his mindset, career, and overall approach to life.
Sharing what yoga means to him, Amal says, "For me, yoga is the coming together of the mind, body, and soul. Breath is what connects the body to the soul, and yoga teaches us to become aware of that connection. It brings a sense of balance, calmness, and peace that is hard to find elsewhere."
Like many actors, Amal often juggles long working hours and unpredictable schedules. Yet, he makes an effort to keep yoga a part of his routine.
"My schedule can be quite hectic, but it really comes down to what you consider important. We never forget to feed our body, so why should we neglect something that nourishes the soul? That's how I look at yoga," he
says.
