Entertainment Lawyer Rohini Vakil Recognised for Contributions to India's Legal Ecosystem
Entertainment lawyer Rohini Vakil was honoured for her contributions to India's legal ecosystem at the Mumbai launch of the book IP to IPO, attended by Maharashtra Minister Ashish Shelar.
Mumbai-based entertainment lawyer Rohini Vakil has been honoured for her "esteemed contributions to the legal ecosystem," with the award presented at the launch of IP to IPO: Decolonizing Academic Startup Revolution, a new book authored by Umesh Rathod.
The launch event took place at the National Stock Exchange Auditorium in Mumbai and drew a mix of policymakers, legal professionals, industry leaders and startup founders. Maharashtra Minister Ashish Shelar attended as the chief guest, with Mangal Prabhat Lodha among the other dignitaries present.
Vakil has spent more than two decades working in the media and entertainment space, where she advises creators, producers, broadcasters and content owners on intellectual property and commercial rights. Her award acknowledged the role she has played in helping strengthen IP protection and commercialisation across India's creative industries.
