'Bolo Radhe Radhe' Wraps Mathura-Vrindavan Schedule, Eyes Nine-Language Release for Janmashtami 2027

Mumbai: A film rooted in the soil of rural India is quietly building buzz in Bollywood circles. Bolo Radhe Radhe, written and directed by Ravi Bhatia, has wrapped its first shooting schedule in the twin holy towns of Mathura and Vrindavan, and the team is already gearing up for the next leg of production.

The film centres on an Indian farming family, weaving in their everyday struggles, relationships and emotional journeys against a larger canvas that touches on cow-based livelihoods, natural farming, rural job creation and environmental protection. It's a subject choice that sets the project apart from the usual festival-season fare, leaning instead into stories of the heartland.

With the Mathura-Vrindavan leg behind them, the production is set to move to rural belts around Gonda, Bhadohi, Basti and Ayodhya, with shooting expected to kick off around Navratri.

Leading the cast are Shravan Kumar and Nayan Tara, supported by seasoned performers Govind Namdev and Bijendra Kala in key roles. Adding an international touch, a Russian actress is also part of the ensemble, playing a devotee of Lord Krishna.

Music will play a big part in the film's storytelling, with 11 songs woven through the narrative. The makers are targeting a release next year to coincide with Shri Krishna Janmashtami, and have ambitious distribution plans - the film is slated to roll out in nine Indian languages, including Hindi, across domestic and overseas markets.

With Bolo Radhe Radhe, the team is hoping to strike a balance between mainstream entertainment and themes of cultural rootedness, rural self-reliance and traditional Indian values - aiming to bring these stories to audiences well beyond the regions where they're set.
