Rajan Shahi Performs Havan on 'Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai' Sets, Says Armaan-Abhira Remain the Show's Core

Producer Rajan Shahi turned to tradition this week, organising a havan on the sets of Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai to thank his team and pray for the show's continued run. The ceremony, held under the banners of Shahi Productions and Director's Kut Productions, brought together the show's regular cast and crew alongside the newest additions to the ensemble, setting the tone for what the makers are calling a fresh chapter for the long-running daily.

Shahi didn't hold back his gratitude. "I am thankful to the leads Armaan, Abhira, Rohit and Samridhii, and to the entire cast, crew and every team member who has taken the show so brilliantly forward. We are simply infusing new characters and new energy into the show," he said.

The havan itself is nothing new for the production house - Shahi noted it's part of a ritual they've followed for years before stepping into any new phase of a show. "Shahi Productions and Director's Kut Productions have always believed in taking the Almighty's blessings. This special havan was performed to thank God for everything we have achieved and to pray for the team's prosperity, happiness and continued success. It was also a way of welcoming the new actors who have joined the show," he explained.

With chatter swirling around the show's shifting storyline, Shahi used the moment to set the record straight on where things stand. New faces may be entering the fold, he said, but the heart of the show hasn't moved an inch. "This show is about Armaan and Abhira. They are the leads of the show. The new additions are bringing fresh energy and creating a new synergy, but Armaan and Abhira continue to remain at the heart of the story," he stated firmly.

For the cast and crew, the havan doubled as both a thank-you and a welcome mat - closing out one chapter of the show's journey while ushering in another, with everyone's blessings intact.
