Aamir Khan and Kabir Khan Team Up to Tell the Story Behind India's Most Remarkable Rescue

Aamir Khan Productions has joined forces with Australia's Mind Blowing Films and Kabir Khan Films to announce 'Silkyara 41', an India-Australia co-production chronicling the 2023 Silkyara tunnel rescue - widely regarded as one of the most complex engineering rescues in recent memory. The film will also spotlight the role played by Professor Arnold Dix, the Australian tunnelling expert who became a familiar face during the rescue and whose expertise proved central to the operation's success.

Kabir Khan, known for directing crowd-pleasers like Bajrangi Bhaijaan and '83, takes the director's chair on this project, with the screenplay penned by Australian writer Andrew Anastasios.

For Aamir Khan, the film represents something bigger than a rescue narrative. "This isn't just about a rescue - it's about courage, humanity, and what people from different corners of the world can achieve when they come together," he said. Kabir Khan echoed the sentiment, calling it one of the most moving human stories to emerge in recent years.
