Abhishek Banerjee Opens Up About His On-Screen Bromance with Divyenndu in Mirzapur: The Movie

The Mirzapur franchise's most beloved duo is back to spark fresh chaos on screen. Abhishek Banerjee and Divyenndu reunited at the trailer launch of Mirzapur: The Movie, bringing their trademark energy and camaraderie to the event while opening up about the loyalty and bond their characters share.

Abhishek Banerjee, who returns as the fiercely loyal Compounder, reflected on his character's unwavering devotion to Munna Bhaiya. He noted that in Mirzapur's world, everyone is out to get everyone else, but a rare few characters are willing to lay down their lives for one another - and Compounder is one of them, his loyalty rooted entirely in Munna Bhaiya. Playfully invoking Ravi Kishan's now-viral dialogue from the franchise, he added that he could explain it in detail, but by the time he did, fans would already be running late.

With their reunion, Abhishek Banerjee and Divyenndu are set to bring thrill, chaos and unmatched screen presence to Mirzapur: The Movie, and anticipation among fans is already running high.

Presented by Amazon MGM Studios and Excel Entertainment, Mirzapur: The Movie is directed by Gurmeet Singh and written by Puneet Krishna. The film is produced by Ritesh Sidhwani and Farhan Akhtar under the Excel Entertainment banner, with Kassim Jagmagia and Vishal Ramchandani on board as co-producers. The star-studded cast includes Pankaj Tripathi, Ali Fazal, Divyenndu, Abhishek Banerjee, Shweta Tripathi, Shriya Pilgaonkar, Ravi Kishan, Jitendra Kumar, Kulbhushan Kharbanda and Rasika Dugal, among others.

Mirzapur: The Movie is slated for a theatrical release on 4 September 2026.
