When a Stranger's Pain Became a Film: K.C. Bokadia's Teesri Begum Heads to OTT

For veteran Hindi director K.C. Bokadia, that moment came quietly, at a public event, when he noticed a man flanked by his three wives. It wasn't the man who held his attention. It was the third woman - her face carrying a weight that words couldn't quite capture. Bokadia couldn't shake it.

That silent, fleeting encounter has now become Teesri Begum, a film premiering on WAVES OTT on July 18.

The film doesn't pretend to be fiction. Bokadia, the filmmaker behind beloved hits like Teri Meherbaniyan, Pyar Jhukta Nahin, Aaj Ka Arjun, and Phool Bane Angaray, has never shied away from stories with a social pulse. Teesri Begum feels like a natural extension of that instinct - cinema not as spectacle, but as mirror.
