Adah Sharma Brings Halloween Chills with New Horror Short Film Series ‘Ada Ki Aahat’

Just in time for Halloween, actor Adah Sharma is stepping back into the genre that first put her on the map - horror. The actor, who earned widespread recognition for her bone-chilling performance in ‘1920’, has announced a new horror short film series titled ‘Ada Ki Aahat’, promising audiences a fresh mix of mystery, suspense, and unexpected twists.

Since her breakout in the horror space, Sharma has built a diverse body of work, moving between intense dramas and genre-bending roles in films like ‘The Kerala Story’, ‘Sunflower’, ‘Commando’, and ‘Rita Sanyal’. With ‘Ada Ki Aahat’, she returns to familiar  and fittingly spooky - territory, this time in a shorter, episodic format designed to deliver quick bursts of suspense rather than a single feature-length scare.

The timing is deliberate. Sharma has two full-length horror films slated for release in 2027, but with fans eager for something sooner, she opted to fast-track a bite-sized horror experience instead of making them wait. ‘Ada Ki Aahat’ appears built around that instant gratification - a series format that lets her explore eerie, twist-driven stories without the longer production runway a feature film demands.

Interestingly, horror isn’t the only genre Sharma is leaning into right now. She’s also set to appear in ‘Super Velli’, where she takes on the unconventional role of a lazy, reluctant superhero - a sharp tonal departure from spine-tingling thrillers. Alongside that, she’s attached to a trilingual project in which she plays a goddess, further underlining the range she’s been building across her recent slate of work.

Taken together, the announcements paint a picture of an actor actively diversifying her portfolio - doubling down on the horror genre that made her a recognizable name, while simultaneously testing comedic and mythological territory she hasn’t fully explored before. For now, though, the spotlight is on ‘Ada Ki Aahat’, as Sharma gears up to give her audience a Halloween treat wrapped in fear.
