Urvashi Rautela's Bollywood Glamour Lights Up India-Pakistan Asian Games Final

Cricket and cinema found common ground in Nisshin, Japan, as Bollywood actress Urvashi Rautela turned up at the Asian Games 2026 men's cricket final between arch-rivals India and Pakistan, adding a touch of glitz to an already electric sporting occasion.

The gold-medal clash at Korogi Sports Park lived up to its billing. India posted a competitive 211/6, then held off a spirited Pakistan chase - anchored by a fighting knock from Hasan Nawaz - to close out the innings at 192/6, sealing a 19-run win and the gold medal. It marked India's seventh consecutive T20I win over their regional rivals, a result that sent the stands into celebration even as the match was played, as in recent years, without the customary handshakes between the two sides.

Amid the roar of the crowd, Urvashi Rautela's presence at the venue drew its own share of attention, with fans and cameras alike tracking the actress throughout the contest. It isn't the first time Rautela has found herself at the intersection of Bollywood and global cricket. In 2023, she was part of the ceremonial unveiling of the ICC Cricket World Cup trophy staged against the backdrop of the Eiffel Tower in Paris - an appearance that cemented her image as a recognisable face at marquee cricketing moments.

Speaking through her team, Rautela described the experience as a meaningful one, saying that sport has a unique ability to unite people and reflect national pride on a world stage. Being present for an India-Pakistan final, she added, gave her a close-up view of the passion that defines the rivalry and the intensity the players bring to the contest.

With India now champions and Pakistan taking home silver, the Asian Games cricket final will be remembered both for its competitive cricket and for the celebrity spotlight that followed it off the field.
