Actress Yami Gautam Dhar Champions Preventive Healthcare for Women

Surya Hospitals has unveiled the "Amber Wing," a state-of-the-art healthcare facility exclusively serving women, as part of a broader push to encourage preventive care among a demographic that frequently puts family needs above personal health.

The new wing adds 55 beds and advanced medical infrastructure to the hospital's existing capacity, offering specialized services spanning cardiology, robotic surgery, orthopedics, cosmetic surgery, and critical care. Alongside the facility launch, the hospital introduced The Amber Promise for Women's Health — an awareness initiative focused on promoting regular health screenings, preventive care, and early treatment.

Actress and health advocate Yami Gautam Dhar lent her voice to the campaign, noting that women routinely deprioritize their own wellbeing. "Timely screenings and preventive healthcare are extremely important," she said, expressing support for efforts that push women toward greater health consciousness and early diagnosis.

Dr. Bhupendra S. Awasthi, Founder, Chairman and Managing Director of Surya Hospitals, described the wing as a step toward delivering integrated, world-class care for women under a single roof.

The initiative comes amid growing recognition that women — particularly those managing households and caregiving responsibilities — face structural and cultural barriers to seeking timely medical attention.
